Hi, my name is Louise Orum and I am looking forward to serving as your USWT Personal Enrichment Program Manager for 2008-2009. 

I have been an active member of Greater Attleboro Women of Today (GAWOT) since joining in January of 2004.  I am currently the Massachusetts State President, GAWOT COB and GAWOT ID VP.  I have held the Mass ID PM, President/co-President of GAWOT and local ID PM positions over the past 4 years. My chapter holds many fundraising events/socials and I make every effort to attend.  I have chaired/co-chaired a number of events including our February state winter convention for 3 years, our annual Beautiful Baby Photo Contest and Muffins with the Easter Bunny, to name a few.

I have 3 grown children and 8 grandchildren. My grandchildren are the love of my life! My husband passed away 13 years ago after a long illness.

Currently, I am the office manager at an oil company. My employment began there 5 years ago.  Prior to that, I worked in Boston in mutual funds for 20 years.

In my spare time, I like to country line dance, hang out with the grandchildren, take walks with my friends and shop at the Christmas Tree Shops. 

My goals for this year are:

      Make contact with each state PE Program Manager before September

      Promote the PE Fast Start form to all chapters

      Attain 100% state participation by year-end

      Encourage participation in effective writing/speaking competitions at National

The topic for the National mid-year and year-end Effective Writing competitions will be:  Who is the STAR in your life?

The topic for the National mid-year and year-end Effective Speaking competitions will be:  Where do you envision yourself in 5 years? How will you attain that dream?
