Hello Pussycats!

Midyear in Bismarck, North Dakota was “purr-fectly” wonderful. The North Dakota members provided generous hospitality with meals and door prize drawings. The tables were beautifully decorated. Everyone who attended added to the experience. Thank you to all for the educational programs and fellowship of the weekend.

There was our awesome “Buckets of Sunshine” presentation of 100 fleece blankets to Ruth Meiers Hospitality House! Springfield, IL made 30 of them! AWESOME!

Eleven first-timers attended. Sarah Smith of Stanley, ND collected the most signatures in her booklet and received the traditional prize – a USWT President’s mug. President Pat’s is very pretty and holds a good amount of beverage. (They are available for sale from USWT Treasurer Cindy Urlacher.)

The name of the winner of the Outstanding Public Relations Contact is on the awards list put in the State Information Packets (SIP’s). She was not in attendance, so I’m not going to spoil the surprise.

SPEAKING OF the SIP: The final PR board of directors report and awards list are separate from the booklets, so please replace the pages. (Sorry.)

Make a Difference Day is October 22, 2011. If your state or chapter does ANY external fundraising or donates any hours ANY TIME, please submit a Community Connections form to Programming VP Chellie Funsch.

“Shout Out with Pride” forms are due October 31, 2011.

President Pat’s scrapbook is expanding, thanks to everyone who submits photos and articles. Some state presidents and national officers took empty pages to fill. Can’t wait to see them completed!

The holidays will be here soon. Please send me all of the PR you use for your projects: flyers, newspaper articles, and photos with names of who is in them, where and when.
